Barcelona is the capital of the Catalonia region in Spain and is famous for its stunning architecture and rich history. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this seaport city’s natural beauty, and mix of cultures and languages, has inspired many creative geniuses over the years – Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed world-famous structures throughout the city including La Sagrada Família, and artist Pablo Picasso called Barcelona home during his famous Blue Period.
