Based on Aravind Adiga’s Booker Prize winning novel, ‘The White Tiger’ is directed by Ramin Bahrani and stars Adarsh Gourav in his first lead role, with Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The show follows the epic journey of a poor Indian driver who uses his wit and cunning to break free from servitude and rise to the top of the heap.
ReDefine partnered with the filmmakers to provide a range of visual effects work for the show, collaborating with the director to deliver 181 shots for key sequences that included complex FX simulations, CG environment extensions, full CG elements and comp enhancements. Our work on the movie also involved a number of interesting technical challenges, requiring our teams to do stellar RnD to create effects that appear mystical and spiritual and yet retain their original qualities, so that they do not cross the boundaries of reality.
‘The White Tiger’ was the first ReDefine show that was started and delivered entirely in the lockdown, with all of our artists working remotely. We’re very proud of the achievements of both our technical teams and our talented artists, who came together to ensure that this project was successfully delivered despite the external challenges.
Don’t miss ‘The White Tiger’, streaming now on Netflix.
