Starting a new job is an experience often filled with excitement, nerves and a little bit of stress. ReDefine is committed to provide a positive onboarding experience to its new starters. That’s why we are launching the Buddy Program, which is currently implemented in our Western Sites and soon to be launched in India.
What is the Buddy Program?
It is a knowledge-sharing method used to onboard new hires to facilitate their integration through a less formal, cooperative and social approach. This socialization, friendship and support can make an enormous, positive difference in early performance, network expansion, and long-term retention of talent.
We recognise the first few weeks are vital for introducing a new hire to our organisation’s work structure, culture, vision, mission, and values, it sets the foundation for long-term success for growing productive, motivated teams!
When new ReDefiners join us, they will attend a schedule of onboarding essential training sessions, as well as direct 1:1 support and mentorship from a ReDefine ‘Buddy’.
New employees will be supported by ‘Buddies’ who offer advice and guidance to help foster and promote the professional development goals of our individual departments and teams. They will also be an effective source of engagement, encouragement and confidence for our new hires.
Our ‘Buddies’ are inducted into the program with a training program, a personalised checklist and 1:1 mentorship from our ReDefine Training team to ensure they have the support and guidance to help on board our new starters.
