Huge congratulations to our crew for this honour!
The 23rd annual VES Award nominations were announced today, and we’re delighted to share that our ReDefine crew has been recognized for our work on HBO’s hit series, The Penguin!

The VES Awards are hosted each year to celebrate the outstanding work and contributions made by the VFX Supervisors, Producers and Artists who helped shape the visual effects landscape and bring magic to our screens.
Led by our supervisory team in Barcelona, our crew delivered 277 shots across 58 sequences for 6 of The Penguin’s 8 episodes, tackling complex 3D simulations for larger-scale destruction, as well as 2D compositing and 2.5D digital matte paintings, including extensive Gotham City environments, set extensions, muzzle flashes, blood splatters, and winterization effects!
This marks our second VES nomination, following our nod for I Wanna Dance With Somebody in 2023. Huge congratulations to our crew for this honour – we’ll be crossing our fingers at the awards ceremony, scheduled for February 11th!
