We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Morgana Studios and ReachStar Entertainment on the upcoming animated feature Diamante. This collaboration represents an exciting next chapter in our animation journey and we are so thrilled to share that Greg Gavanski, John Harvey, and Daniel Krech of ReDefine Originals will be overseeing the project as Executive Producers.
Set amidst the vibrant backdrop of the Dominican Republic, Diamante chronicles the journey of young Luisito as he navigates his aspirations of professional baseball and grapples with his inner fears. As one of the animation powerhouses behind Diamante, ReDefine Originals is dedicated to bringing the rich cultural tapestry, folklore, and landscapes of the Dominican Republic to life on the big screen. The film will celebrate the resilience and camaraderie that defines this beautiful Caribbean nation and its deep connection to baseball.
Supported by Marianna Vargas Gurilieva, Film Commissioner of the Dominican Republic Film Commission (DGCINE), and Héctor M. Valdez, directed by Mathieu Ratthé and crafted by Ratthé and Leticia Tonos Paniagua, with an original concept by Claudio Lluberes, Diamante signals a commitment to telling stories that transcends borders and resonates with audiences worldwide. Both Morgana Studios and ReachStar Entertainment share our passion, recognizing the universal themes of friendship, self-discovery, and pursuing dreams woven throughout the film.
“For many families, baseball offers a promising path to international opportunities and aspirations for a better quality of life, serving as a pillar of Dominican identity and is proud to be known as a major exporter of talent to the MLB,” said Morgana’s Claudio Lluberes.
Producing this exciting new film are Mathieu Ratthé, Caroline Desmarais, Steven Thibault for Reachstar; and Miguel Cabañas, Verónica Buide, Claudio Lluberes, and Daysi Cruz for Morgana Studios.
Join us on this extraordinary journey as we bring Diamante to life and celebrate the power of storytelling to inspire and uplift audiences around the world!
